Problem Statement :
Workers often risk their lives while inspecting bridges, tunnels, pipelines, buildings, and other hazardous structures, facing dangers such as falls, toxic exposure, and unsafe manual checking.
These risks, along with delayed detection of structural defects, highlight the need for safer and smarter inspection technologies.
Innovation :
MicroScout is a low-cost, India-made wall-climbing robot that can:
Climb vertical walls & narrow spaces
Detect cracks & leaks using sensors
Send live camera video to phone/laptop
Sense harmful gases or hazards
Inspect bridge undersides, pipelines & tall structures
Operate in defense zones, tunnels & disaster areas
It reduces risk to humans and improves safety and
Application :
MicroScout is a vital tool for:
Engineers: For inspecting bridges, tunnels, and industrial plants.
Security Forces: For monitoring defense zones and hard-to-reach areas.
Disaster Response Teams: For safely assessing collapsed or risky structures.
Key Benefit: Helps detect faults early and prevent major accidents.
PROJECT’S APPROXIMATE COST :
₹1000
