NEUROBAND
Name: BHARGAV AUDUMBAR DESHMUKH
School Name: MATSYODARI VIDYALAYA AMBAD
Components: The system is developed using the Arduino Uno as the main controller. It includes a 16×2 LCD display, five push buttons, a buzzer, LED indicator, DHT11 temperature and humidity sensor, potentiometer, jumper wires, and a battery for power supply.
Uses: NEUROBAND is an innovative healthcare assistance and monitoring system designed to support speech-disabled, bedridden, and paralyzed patients by enabling them to communicate their needs clearly and independently. Many patients with limited mobility face serious difficulties in expressing pain, discomfort, or emergency situations, which can delay medical attention and increase health risks. This project aims to solve that problem by providing a simple, reliable, and effective communication interface that allows patients to alert caregivers quickly.
When a patient presses any of the push buttons, a specific message is displayed on the LCD screen while the buzzer produces a sound alert and the LED glows to provide a clear audio-visual indication. This ensures that caregivers can immediately understand the patient’s need and respond quickly.
In addition to communication assistance, the system continuously monitors environmental conditions such as temperature and humidity using the DHT11 sensor. These values are displayed on the LCD screen, helping caregivers maintain a safe and comfortable environment for the patient. By combining communication support with environmental monitoring, NEUROBAND improves patient safety, reduces response time, enhances dignity and emotional well-being, and increases overall healthcare efficiency. This low-cost and portable system can be effectively used in hospitals, rehabilitation centers, and home care settings, making it a practical and impactful healthcare solution.
Very good project. But it won’t work if the patient is illiterate or forgetful or can’t see clearly
