THE CORE MISSION
Imagine a world where you never have to guess if your water is clean. PureSip was engineered to solve a hidden problem: many harmful minerals and salts are invisible to the naked eye. This gadget acts as an “electronic eye,” detecting the electrical signature of water to tell you exactly what’s happening beneath the surface.
THE TECHNOLOGY: HOW IT THINKS
At the heart of PureSip lies the LM358 Dual Operational Amplifier. We didn’t just build a circuit; we built a “Decision Maker.”
The Bridge: Two high-grade stainless steel probes dip into the water, acting as our sensing interface.
The Intelligence: We used an LM358 IC to compare the water’s resistance against a fixed reference.
The Multiplier: By using a 100k Ohm feedback resistor, we created a high-gain loop. This means even a tiny amount of salt or impurity creates a huge reaction in the circuit, making the device incredibly sensitive and accurate.
THE WORKING STEPS
PureSip works in three lightning-fast stages:
SENSING: The 9V battery sends a small current through the probes.
PROCESSING: If the water is pure, it resists the electricity. If it is impure, the electricity flows easily. The LM358 catches this change instantly.
INDICATING: The signal is sent to our dual-light display system.
THE GREEN GLOW: Indicates High Purity and Low Conductivity.
THE RED ALERT: Indicates High Conductivity, meaning the water is full of dissolved minerals or salts.
THE DESIGN PHILOSOPHY
We didn’t want a messy pile of wires. PureSip is housed in a smooth, matte-black “Gadget Box” that looks professional and modern. It’s designed to be portable, durable, and user-friendly—simply dip the probes and read the lights.
THE BIG CONCLUSION
PureSip is a success! Through this project, we proved that Analog Electronics can be used to monitor the environment. We demonstrated how an operational amplifier can take a tiny physical change—like the mineral content in a glass of water—and turn it into a clear, visual message.
The Result: A perfectly balanced, sleek, and highly sensitive tool that proves science can be both beautiful and functional.

A Sound Alarm: A buzzer that beeps when the water is “Red.”
Digital Screen: Showing the exact percentage of purity.
USB Power: Making the device rechargeable and even more portable.
